Shelley Rubin

Shelley Rubin is the Co-author and Co-Chair of the Rubin Museum of Art. Her and her better half Donald Rubin's joint energy for Himalayan craftsmanship prompted to their choice to make the Rubin Museum, which opened in 2004. An altruist and social pioneer who trusts that craftsmanship and social enhancement have the ability to change lives in clear, pragmatic ways, Ms. Rubin made A Blade of Grass (ABOG) in 2011 to give assets to specialists who show imaginative fabulousness and fill in as inventive conductors for social change. ABOG tries to grow the connection amongst craftsmanship and life and make new groups of onlookers for workmanship. Ms. Rubin is Co-Chair of the Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation which has faith in craftsmanship as a foundation of durable, flexible groups and more noteworthy interest in metro life. The Foundation bolsters expressions and social associations through stipends to catalyze aggregate activity, advance correspondence, add to backing and arrangement change and create limit with respect to more prominent community engagement.She is a Board Member of Human Rights Watch, Life Trustee of Thirteen/WNET, Trustee Emeritus of the Tibetan Buddhist Resource Center and a Honorary Board Member of the New York.
